Baga Beach

Baga is a small fishing beach with a grove of shady palms close to the water’s edge. There are few buses that come all the way to the beach's edge, but none after dark. Baga Beach in Goa looks as if it has come straight out of a painting, majestic white waves rushing to wipe out the feet imprints left by you on the white sand while the wind continues to flirt with the palm trees. Goa's Baga beach is a small but perfect beach located between its two more famous cousins, Anjuna on one side and Calangute on the other. It is a good place to enjoy some quite moments and dwell in peaceful contemplation with oneself. It is one of the beaches that make up a long stretch of sandy area dotted with eateries serving meals from all over the world.

Situated at the happening Baga beach, Andrews Beach Shack has amazing beach parties with international DJs playing here all the time. It is also a skip away from other nightclubs in Baga. On a cool evening, a walk on the beach can be calming and hard on the legs. Walk into Sky Lark Beach Shack to rest awhile and stay for dinner. Get there early to get a table, because it gets crowded really quickly. They have Goan and Continental food, and both are good, though their Continental style is better than their Goan. The vindaloo with sannas is amazingly spicy. The sannas (Goa’s reply to idlis fluffed with palm toddy) were sweet to counter the spice and soft and fluffy like they’re supposed to be.
